When you think of the orange juice marketed on the refrigerated shelves of your supermarket, do you think of “flavor packets” and “huge storage tanks where it can be kept for upwards of a year.” Most people don’t, but according to Alissa Hamilton, author of the upcoming “Squeezed: What You Don’t Know About Orange Juice,” you probably should.
Is it terrible for you? Probably not. But in this case, the orange does fall pretty far from the tree.
