Next time hitting the Elliptical Trainer for 30 minutes while watching The Wire seems like it’s just too much (and yes, this is autobiographical to the max), consider Anthony Dunnigan. A few years ago, he was so heavy he could barely walk a block without getting winded. Now his best running event is the 200 mile ultra-marathon. He does something that seems super-human, but he says he’s just a regular guy.
[People think] we are capable of anything that most people couldn’t do if they wanted to. I’m not an extraordinary athlete. In fact, I’m kind of slow. I just don’t give up.
