Facial paralysis is about to have some company. The FDA has approved a product called Dysport that, like botox, uses botulinum toxin to “relax” the muscles and remove forehead lines. About 2.5 million Americans got Botox for cosmetic reasons last year.
FWIW, in lab studies rats that used Dysport were more than twice as likely to be entertaining on the red carpet than Joan and Melissa Rivers.
