In the average year, about 250,000-500,000 people die from flu-related causes. Not the swine flu. Just the regular flu we’ve all been getting for years. A huge percentage of those deaths occured in folks over 65 who often had other health issues.
When it comes to the swine flu, the big questions puzzling researchers are:
Why are young people dying from this strain of the flu? And why is the swine flu so much more lethal in Mexico than it has been around the rest of the world (so far)?
