The “federal government” has implemented a ban on many toys that are made of soft rubber. These toys contain chemicals called phthalates that have been linked to some diseases and other problems.
But after a couple decades of kids chewing on these toys, was there really a risk? Some say the ban may be more about public concern and politics than science.
