The Center for Science in the Public Interest just came out with their list of the unhealthiest foods you can order at national restaurants. The list is by no means exhaustive. You just get a sampling of 9 of the worst offenders.
While the actual amounts of calories and fats in these items might surprise you on the upside, their general lack of unhealthiness is hardly hidden by the restaurants. In fact, with names like these, it’s clearly a perceived selling point.
Big Mouth Bites, Chilis
Fried Macaroni and Cheese, Cheesecake Factory
Ultimate Fondue, Red Lobster
Mega-Sized Deep Dish Sundae, Uno’s
Quesadilla Burger, Applebee’s
Tour of Italy, Olive Garden
On that last one, I suggest stopping around Naples and just walking around the block a couple of times.
